The PRP Skin Rejuvenation Treatment is a simple, non-surgical procedure that is done in-office and will have you in and out in under an hour. This treatment has many uses and is primarily used to address fine and deep wrinkles, hair loss, scar treatments, and to restore youthfulness to the face.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

PRP technology uses components of your own blood to perform the procedure. By drawing an amount of blood similar to a typical blood draw, we can create a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from your own blood. Once activated, this PRP is then injected back into your skin. This activated PRP contains eight essential growth factors and signaling proteins that will result in the growth of collagen and other important connective tissues, improved blood supply to the area, and healthier skin, blood, and connective tissue cells.  From the minute you walk out the door you will notice a difference in how you look, and this will continue to enhance in the following months as time passes and these growth factors and proteins continue to work.

PRP technology has been used for decades in medicine. More recently, this technology has been adapted for aesthetic use. One of the greatest things about PRP technology is that, because it uses your own blood, there is almost no risk of allergic reaction or sensitivity reaction. This is about as close to an “all-natural” facelift as you can get!  

Hyaluronic Acid and PRP

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule found in all connective tissues in your body. The structure and chemical properties of hyaluronic acid are responsible for the structure and cushioning of the skin, as well as the maintenance of healthy skin. With age and sun exposure, these beneficial effects of hyaluronic acid are weakened, and the result is less moisture in the skin and the formation of wrinkles. 

The PRP Skin Rejuvenation Treatment can be enhanced with the addition of hyaluronic acid to the PRP injections. You will notice more immediate wrinkle reduction while the results of the PRP injection will take days to weeks to come to full fruition. 

EndyMed and PRP

PRP technology can also be used for facial rejuvenation without any needle injections. The EndyMed technology that we have used in our office since 2011 can be used to prepare the skin for a topical application of the PRP.
