What to know before your first visit

To get started, you can find answers to common questions about Water's Edge by reading our FAQ.

Before your first visit, we'll ask you to complete a questionnaire packet that tells Dr. Wynsome about your medical history and current health concerns. We ask that you return the packet to us at least 48 hours prior to your first appointment, to allow Dr. Wynsome ample time to thoroughly review your case so she can discuss it with you on your first visit.

What to expect in your initial consultation

Dr. Wynsome will listen carefully, discuss your case history and health goals, and discern the best treatment approach for your unique needs.

She'll explain strategies for symptom relief as well as corrective care, and likely recommend diagnostic tests that help pinpoint the root causes of your symptoms. You'll also receive a Personalized Health Rebuilding Workbook of articles to educate you about your health issues and lab tests, plus worksheets to help you track your progress.

What happens next?

Next, you consider the options for your Personalized Health Rebuilding Process, and return for a comprehensive nutritional and hormonal physical exam. Using results from the exam (and any lab tests), Dr. Wynsome will develop a personalized care plan for you.

Typically, you'll start with treatments to jumpstart the healing process. Dr. Wynsome will also recommend natural medicines to help relieve symptoms and strengthen your body's systems.

What to know about your treatment needs

At Water's Edge, we have a full professional dispensary of natural medicines and diagnostic tests — easy one-stop shopping to support your healing. Some lab tests are conducted in the office, while others are take-home tests you can do on your own.

What to know about payment & insurance

We require full payment at the time of each office visit, and provide you with the necessary forms to submit your health claims for reimbursal. Without the limitations of being an insurance provider, Dr. Wynsome is able to provide much more comprehensive health care solutions, including spending time educating her patients and carefully integrating therapies to achieve the best results.

TIP! Use your FSA — If you have an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) through your health insurance provider, you can use it to pay for your services and medicines at Water's Edge. The FSA provides a pre-tax advantage for healthcare purchases, and can be used for vitamins and herbal medicines, even if those items aren't covered by your health insurance.
